My name is Michelle Ballew. I am a 1995 graduate of Northwest High School.  I am  currently a third grade teacher at Coker Elementary, a wife, and best of all, a mom.

I have just finished my Master's through Walden University. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Michael, for 10years.  Our son, Tyler, just turned six years old. We now have a beautiful two year old son named Brantley. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching scarey movies, and riding the motorcycle with my husband.
This is my fourth year teaching at Coker!!  I loved my first classroom full of children. I enjoy working to feed and nurture young minds that are hungry for knowledge.
From personal experience I am very aware of the important role each teacher has in influencing a young person to excel. I am often reminded of my second grade teacher, Mrs. Donna Patillo, and her help and support. Even though I wasn't her best student, she never gave up on me. To this day she is my close friend and mentor, there to help and encourage me. My promise to her is that I will be the best teacher possible.
It is my hope that some day someone I taught might look back and think I helped them.
